Downloads for Stats, Graphs and Data Science¹ in Tukwila, WA.

Welcome Students!

We hope you are excited for the upcoming Valuemetrics.Info class in Tukwila, WA. The dates: Monday & Tuesday, February 12 & 13, at University of Phoenix, Tukwila 7100 Fort Dent Way #100, Tukwila, WA.

Signin and setup start at 8AM. Class starts promptly at 8:30AM. Reference Workbooks and Lunch will be provided on Day One of the class.

You will find the download links for GnumericPortable, R, RStudio, and a Zip file containing the Student Data Files for this class listed below. None of the downloads are optional. We will be using all of them at some point during the two-day class.

Also, we have created four video tutorials for those who are not familiar with downloading Open Source software to the desktop of the computer you are bringing to class.

Apple computer users: Our preference is that everyone use the same operating system for the sake of consistency.  If you have a Windows laptop available to you, (buy, beg or borrow, please don’t steal), our preference would be that you make use of it. GnumericPortable is unlikely to work with the Apple operating system. If all else fails, plan to use the most recent version of Excel for Apple. Let me know if you are using an Apple laptop so I can send you the student data files in Excel. Be aware that the files will be in a Windows format and will need to be converted to Apple. Please watch this YouTube video with download instructions for R and RStudio to an Apple machine. https://youtu.be/GLLZhc_5enQ

Please follow the download instructions outlined in the videos and install the software and student files to your desktop. Placing the files on the desktop will aid the setup period on the morning of the first day of class. Additionally, having all the files on the desktop increases the ease of removing the files after the class if you so choose.

If you have any questions or problems with the software downloads, please call Cyndi at 619. 212. 1989.
